RALSTON, Neb, (January 4, 2024) – A new name on the same venue, it’s time to pack the Liberty First Credit Union Arena. The 2024 AAU Wrestling Winter National gear up for another round of competition, with eager athletes ready to vie for the Championship Chain.

January 6-7, Crowds of competitors, and fans will converge upon the Liberty First Credit Union Arena for this highly awaited National Championship. Wrestlers of various ages and origins from across the nation will battle on the mats to take home an AAU National Title and Championship Chain. Last year saw approximately 900 participants hailing from 15 different states take to the mat. This year approximately 1,200 participants from 14 States will step onto the mat, aspiring to kick off the new year by adding to their trophy collection.

Boys and Girls will be competing with divisions split up by age: Tots (6u), Bantam (7 & 8), Midget (9 & 10), Novice (11 & 12), and School Boy/Girl 8^th Grade and under (13 – 15). Each weight class will receive Championship Chains for the victors. Additionally, runners-up and third-place finishers in each weight category will be honored with trophies, while the top six contenders in each class will earn medals. Team awards, categorized as Class A (18 or more wrestlers), Class B (13-17 wrestlers), and Class C (8-12 wrestlers), will also be presented during the event.

Saturday, January 6 will be the first day of competition with the first session starting at 8:00 in the morning. Sebolt Wrestling Academy finished last year with the most total match points, while Pomona Elite and Storm finished with the best winning percentage. We can’t wait to see what teams will show this year.
