ORLANDO, Fla. (June 1, 2022) – Athletes from all over the nation traveled to Orlando, Florida to start the summer off with some heated action on the basketball court. More than 320 teams arrived at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex for the 2022 AAU Basketball Memorial Day Classic with hopes of leaving with an AAU championship.
Boys and girls from every region of the country walked into the gym to lace up their sneakers, tuck in their jerseys, and ball out on the hardwood. Athletes from 8 and under all the way up 20 years old competed. California, Illinois, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, North Carolina, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, and Wisconsin were all represented. Hundreds of games were played over the long weekend, but only a few teams were able to walk away with the trophy.
AAU medals and trophies were presented to the top two teams in each division after bracket play was completed. Teams were divided into age based and grade based divisions: 5th grade to Varsity for Girls and 8 and under to 20 and under for Boys. With a total 34 divisions for between boys and girls, here are the teams that walked away with the hardware:

Athletes, coaches, parents, and fans packed all three gyms around the complex. With 20 courts, there was incredible action taking place from 8 a.m. until the final buzzer went off in the last game each day. For a full list of results and brackets, click here.
