YPSILANTI, Mich. - The AAU Track and Field 2021 14U Indoor season is coming to close in Ypsilanti, Michigan on March 5 - 7. Athletes 14 years of age and under will get a shot around the banked oval for the chance to become an AAU National Champion.
Six hundred (600) young athletes will converge at the Lincoln Athletic Building (L.A.B.) over the three-day event. Awards will be handed out to the top eight (8) of each age group.
Packet Pick-Up will begin Friday, March 5 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday, March 6 from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the L.A.B. Indoor Track. A packet will be provided for each team consisting of team roster and events entered. A team representative will be responsible for picking up the packets. All teams are urged to pick up packets on Friday as the lines on Saturday can be long.
The tentative schedule of running events are as follows with a rolling schedule once the first event occurs. Each event and age group will be broken down into sessions to follow proper facility capacity limits and allow time to clean and disinfect facility between groups.

60 Meter Hurdles – SEMI-FINAL - Starting with 11 Year Olds – 14 Year Olds (top 8 times advance to finals)
1500 Meter Race walk - TF- All Age Groups Combined - 9 Year Old – 12 Year Old
400 Meter Dash –TF - Starting with 5 Year Olds – 14 Year Olds
3000 Meter Race-walk – TF - All Age Groups Combined – 13 Year Old – 14 Year Old
200 Meter Dash – SF - Starting with 5-6 Year Old -13/14 Year Old – (top 8 times advance to finals)
Saturday – March 6, 2021 This is a rolling schedule starting at 12:00PM
3000 Meter Run – Starting with 11 Year Olds – 14 Year Olds – Age Groups may be combined by gender
60 Meter Hurdles – FINALS - Starting with 11 Year Olds – 14 Year Olds
200 Meter Dash – FINALS - Starting with 5 Year Olds – 14 Year Olds
800 Meter Run – TF - Starting with 5 Year Olds – 14 Year Olds

60 Meter Dash – FINALS - Starting with 5 Year Olds – 14 Year Olds
1500 Meter Run – TF- Starting with 7&8 Year Olds – 14 Year Olds (Age Groups may be combined by gender)
4 x 200 Meter Relay – Starting with 5 Year Olds – 14 Year Olds

AAU Track and Field will be following local, state, and federal guidelines regarding COVID protocols for this meet. We encourage social distancing and masks are required throughout the venue. We will have sessions set up once entries have closed. In between sessions, we will clear the facility to sanitize and disinfect before the next session comes in. There will be a restricted number of spectators and athletes per session.
