ORLANDO, Fla. (March 28, 2023) – Three… Two… One… The buzzer has sounded on the 2023 AAU Boys Basketball Spring Classic and the AAU Girls Basketball Spring Fling. With 14 age groups across the two events, AAU Championship belts have been awarded and athletes are heading home with some incredible memories made.
This year brought 161 teams and more than 1,500 athletes to the beautiful ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida. Teams from Florida and Georgia packed the gyms and teams left it all on the court with hopes of taking home AAU Basketball championship gold.
AAU medals were awarded to the top two teams in each division. With nine (9) divisions in the AAU Spring Classic and five (5) divisions in the AAU Spring Fling, 14 teams also earned bragging rights and a championship belt to hold high. The winners in the Gold Divisions (Division 1) were:

9U/3rd Grade – D5 Global Florida 2033
10U/4th Grade – Manhasset 2031
11U/5th Grade – Apex Predators
12U/6th Grade – Rivera Sports 6th
13U/7th Grade – D5 Global Florida
14U/8th Grade – First Choice Elite
15U/9th Grade – Global Not Local
16U/10th Grade – Florida Phenoms 2025
Boys Varsity – Florida Phenoms 17U
AAU Girls Spring Fling
6th Grade – Miami Impact
7th Grade – Florida Comets Gold
8th Grade – Miami Impact
Girls JV – Below the Rim 16U
Girls Varsity – MHD Elite Huskies
The AAU Basketball Spring Classic and Spring Fling were the first two of four tournaments inside the Disney AAU Spring Classic series. The next tournaments coming up at ESPN Wide World of Sports will be the AAU Easter Classic and the AAU Memorial Day Classic.
