ORLANDO, Fla. (March 15, 2023) – More than 1,600 volleyball athletes will be at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex this weekend to compete in the AAU Volleyball Classic.
 
The volleyball event will start Saturday, March 18 with pool play, with bracket play and championship games being played on Sunday, March 19. There will be nine age groups, from 10 and under through 18 and under. Click here for the full event schedule.
 
Out of the 168 teams participating this year, 144 are Florida-based. The rest of the teams are from Colorado, Georgia, Massachusetts, and New Mexico, as well as the Canadian provinces of Ontario and Quebec.
 
“This is the 21^st year of this event, and we’re happy to see how much it’s grown from its beginnings in 2002,” said Joe Jablonski, AAU Volleyball Sports Director.
 
The winning team in each division will receive a free or discounted entry to the 50^th AAU Junior National Volleyball Championships – one of the largest volleyball tournaments in the world – this summer at the Orange County Convention Center.
