Morgantown, W.Va. (May 24, 2022) – Athletes are diving into competition this weekend at the 2022 AAU Diving Red-White-Blue National Championships. Divers from every part of the country will be going up against one another to see which region has the best divers.
 
The Aquatic Center at Mylan Park in Morgantown, West Virginia, home of the West Virginia University Mountaineers, will play host to the national championship. Athletes will be competing in one of six age divisions: 9 & under, 10-11, 12-13, 14-15, 16-17 & 18-19, and 20 and up. Divers competing at the national championship have qualified at one of the Red-White-Blue Qualifiers during the year.
 
A total of 286 divers will make the climb and take the plunge during the weekend. There will be a total of 4,558 dives performed through each group to determine who has the best divers in the nation.
 
Divers are divided into Red, White, and Blue teams which represent each region of the country. Team Red is made up of divers from the West Coast, White is representing Central United States, and the Blue Team is comprised of divers from the East Coast. AAU Medals will be rewarded to the first and second place divers of each age division.
 
Decks open at 6:30 a.m. with the first event beginning at 10:00 in the morning on Saturday, May 28. The final day of diving taking place at 9:30 a.m. on Memorial Day. To see the full event schedule, click here.
 
AAU Diving will also be raising money with their Diving in to Support Ukraine fundraiser. AAU Diving is taking donations in an effort to help rebuild what was lost in Ukraine. All proceeds will be forwarded to the Ukrainian Red Cross. If you would like to donate and #StandWithUkraine, click here.
