Check out last year's recap of the event:

The Collegiate Hockey Federation hosted the inaugural Dr. Goudy Memorial Hockey Festival this past weekend at the Ice Line Rinks in West Chester, Pennsylvania.

More than 200 athletes participated in the three-day All-Star Showdown, as well as the Prospects Showcase, where high school players were given the opportunity to show off their skills.

Empire Conference Selects Purple walked away as the CHF Champions after a nearly perfect 3-0-1 record in the tournament. They drew a tie against Empire Conference Selects Black, 3-3, in the early rounds of Day 1. From there they went on to win against Upper New York Conference Selects - Buffalo State, 5-3, Delaware Valley Conference Selects - Gold, 7-3 and Delaware Valley Conference Selects - Black, 2-1.

Empire Purple came out to take an early lead in the championship game. Sean Blaney started off the scoring with a goal at the 15-minute mark in the first period, followed by Michael Sweeny at 13. David Frattaroli finished the period by scoring with 38 seconds left, taking the lead 3-0.

Their lead only increased in the second period with goals by Christopher Yonkers and another by Sean Blaney. Michael Sweeny raked in another goal, as well, at the beginning of the third period to make it 6-0. The Upper New York Conference Selects - Buffalo State team cut the lead by two goals in the final four minutes of the game, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Empire Purple’s lead.

Goalie Joe Sponenburg played all four games in the tournament and only let up eight goals out of the 110 shots taken against him.
