Longtime AAU Volunteer, Yolanda Freeman, named AAU Track & Field Officials Coordinator

Yolanda Freeman, a long-standing volunteer within Ohio’s AAU Track and Field District, has recently been named the AAU Track & Field Officials Coordinator.

ORLANDO, Fla. - Yolanda Freeman, a long-standing volunteer within Ohio’s AAU Track and Field District, has recently been named the AAU Track and Field Officials Coordinator. The appointment was made by AAU Track and Field National Chairman Charles Oliver.

“This new position allows me to give my best to others which in turn allows them the ability to give their best on the track & field,” said Freeman.

Freeman began her career as an Officials Coordinator while serving as the Secretary for the Ohio AAU Track and Field District, beginning in 2008. From there, she became a Register for the district where she helped implement the Ohio AAU District Grant, which promoted the Ohio AAU’s name and memberships.

In addition, Freeman has assisted with coordinating events such as the AAU Junior Olympics Games, AAU Indoor National Championships and several collegiate championship meets. Most recently, she has served as a member of the AAU National Track and Field Committee and as the Officials Coordinator for the AAU Track & Field National Events. Freeman also heads up the AAU Cares Track and Field Committee.
