AAU Track and Field is hosts their first of three Indoor National Championships on Saturday, January 18.

MONMOUTH, Ill. - The 2020 AAU Northern Indoor National Track and Field Championships will take place next weekend, January 18 through January 19, highlighting the first of three Indoor Track and Field National Championships.

The AAU Northern Indoor National Championships brought approximately 640 athletes to the oval in 2019, ranging from ages 8U to 18U. This year AAU Track and Field hopes to continue to grow the event with registration staying open until Monday, January 13 at 9:00 p.m. If you haven’t registered yet, make sure you get everything squared away before the cutoff date.
 
Packet Pickup will be located at the Huff Athletic Center on Saturday, January 18 from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Sunday, January 19 from 7:00 to 11:00 a.m. All participating teams are urged to pick up packets on Saturday between the hours of 12:00 and 5:00 p.m., as lines during the meet can get lengthy.

After the AAU Northern Indoor National Championship, the series will continue with the AAU 14U Indoor National Championship in Ypsilanti, Michigan on March 7-8. The final event of the 2020 Indoor season will be the 2020 AAU Indoor National Championship in Hyattsville, Maryland on March 13-15.  

Schedule of Events 
Saturday, January 18
Track Events – 3,000 Meter Run, 200m Dash (prelims), 4x200m Relay Finals
Field Events – High Jump (8-12 boys and girls), Shot Put (8-12 boys and girls), Triple Jump (13-18 girls then boys)
Sunday, January 19
Track Events – 800m Run, 60m Hurdles, 60m Dash Prelims, 1500m Racewalk, 3000m Racewalk, 200m Dash, 1500m Girls Run, 400m Dash, 1500m Boys Run, 60m Dash and 4x400m Relay (9-18 boys and girls)
Fiend Events – High Jump (13-18 girls then boys), Long Jump (8-18 boys and girls), Pole Vault (13-18 girls then boys), Shot Put (13-18 girls then boys)
