AAU Cares: Bahama Relief

12/02/2019

Hurricane season is always a trying time, bringing with it uncertainty, damage to houses and devastation to hard-hit areas.

The AAU strives to provide athletes with first-class athletic opportunities but, beyond the athletic surface, we strongly believe in instilling a sense of social responsibility in the more than 700,000 members nationwide with our AAU Cares initiative.

Hurricane season is always a trying time, bringing with it uncertainty, damage to houses and devastation to hard-hit areas. This past 2019 season was no different with the impact. Hurricane Dorian was the most intense tropical cyclone on record to strike the Bahamas. AAU Track and Field put together a relief package for the Islands of the Bahamas.

The package included feminine products, cooking utensils, baby clothes, men and women's clothes, hygiene items, food products, toys, first aid kits, and water. AAU Track and Field will also be sending over 300 shirts. AAU Cares appreciates AAU Track and Field’s efforts.
