AAU Boys Basketball National Championships Kick Off

07/03/2018

Over 10,000 athletes will compete for bragging rights in the AAU Boys Basketball National Championships and Super Showcases. Here are all the details surrounding the big event.

Other than the warm weather and beaches, summertime means great competition for AAU basketball. Since 1888, the AAU has been the go-to organization for developing some of the top talents in the world, and they do not shy away from the level of talent that is on display at the AAU National Basketball Championship. The AAU plays a tremendous part in molding the top collegiate, and professional players in the country.  Notable players such as Dwyane Wade (Miami Heat), Jason Tatum (Boston Celtics), Lonzo Ball (L.A. Lakers), and two-time MVP and three-time NBA champion Steph Curry (Golden State Warriors) developed their skills within the AAU.

Besides future NBA superstardom, the national championships offer all athletes of all skill levels the chance to compete for a title, have fun and aid in character development and growth.

Having athletes with a variety of talent and skill levels makes the AAU National Basketball Championship a fun and exciting event for all individuals who participate and spectate.
